Resolve Outlook for Windows issues with automated troubleshooting tools

If you're having problems setting up your email in classic Outlook, we want to help. Find solutions to common problems or get help from a support agent. If you can't open Outlook, or Outlook disappears or crashes, one of your add-ins may be to blame or you may need to update Outlook. You can give feedback by selecting Help from the top menu, then Feedback. If your mailbox is full, we won't be able to reply to your request.

If you decide you don't want the calendar you created, right-click the calendar and select Remove. To show or hide the Folders list, select Show or Hide the navigation pane. If you can open the original Outlook Data File, you might be able to recover additional items. The Inbox Repair tool creates a backup file with the same name as the original, but with a .bak extension, and saves it in the same folder. There may be items in the backup file that you might be able to recover that the Inbox Repair tool couldn't.

Occasionally, classic Outlook tries to run a process in the background. Auto-archive, sending and receiving a very large attachment, or running some of the other mailbox tools can all be done in the background. Check the status bar at the bottom of the screen to see if another process is running.

A lot of times, a user will click on something by accident and change their view and be unsure of how to get it back. Do you have another machine you can try to duplicate the problem on, preferably with a configuration that is as close to possible to the machine that has the problem? Even though Hotmail has been integrated into Outlook.com, Microsoft continues to support users with @hotmail.com addresses. These users have solutions for Outlook loading issues access to the full range of Outlook’s modern email and personal information management features, along with dedicated support for any issues they may encounter. Microsoft’s customer service can be reached via email, phone, live chat, social media, and community forums. We’ve tried contacting them through multiple channels, and we’ve found that phone and chat are the quickest ways to get a response. Microsoft created a support and recovery assistant. This program is designed to run some tests, provide a diagnostic, and help you fix common issues with your Outlook account. If calling people on the phone is not your preferred option, you can contact Outlook’s customer service via a live chat. Outlook Safe Mode support refers to the resources and assistance Microsoft provides for users who encounter issues while using Outlook in Safe Mode. Overall, Outlook webmail support provides a solutions for Outlook loading issues comprehensive system to help you troubleshoot problems and effectively use the web-based version of Outlook for managing your email and schedule.

Not something you want to take on lightly, but sometimes you have to. Similar to our earlier suggestion of repairing Office (see #3 Repair Your Microsoft Office above), perform the same steps except choose to Uninstall. Be aware that you may need your product key if you received one. This option could be useful if you constantly have to wait for Outlook to rebuild its data file when you restart. No matter how well written add-ins are solutions for Outlook loading issues (and even Outlook itself), there will always be the occasional Outlook problem that doesn’t seem to go away or may not be related to add-ins at all.
